Becoming a Meal Provider
If you love cooking and want to earn from home, Meal is your platform. Thousands of bhabis across Bangladesh are already turning their cooking skills into a reliable income stream — and you can too.

Who can become a Meal provider?
- Anyone who can cook consistently good food
- You need a dedicated cooking space that passes our kitchen inspection
- You should be able to prepare at least 5 meals per day to start
- Available during lunch and/or dinner preparation windows
- Willing to undergo food safety training (3 hours, free)

The onboarding process:

1. Apply online — Fill out the provider application on Meal. Include photos of your kitchen, a sample menu of 5-10 items, and your preferred delivery zone.

2. Kitchen inspection — Our field team schedules a visit within 5 business days. They check hygiene standards, equipment, and storage. If improvements are needed, you get a checklist and a re-inspection date.

3. Food safety training — A 3-hour session (online or in-person) covering hygiene, temperature control, allergen awareness, and portion consistency. Free of charge.

4. Menu setup — Work with our onboarding team to price your items, write bilingual descriptions, and photograph your dishes. We provide guidelines for food photography using just a smartphone.

5. Trial period — Your first 10 orders are monitored closely. We check customer feedback, delivery timing, and food presentation. Pass this, and you are fully activated.

How much can you earn?

Earnings depend on your capacity, menu pricing, and consistency. Here are real numbers from active Meal bhabis:
- Part-time (lunch only, 5-10 orders/day): 10,000-18,000 BDT/month
- Full-time (lunch + dinner, 15-25 orders/day): 25,000-45,000 BDT/month
- Top earners (specialty items, catering, subscriptions): 50,000+ BDT/month

Meal takes a 15% commission on each order. This covers the platform, customer support, quality monitoring, and payment processing.

Payment schedule:
- Daily settlement to your bKash account
- Or weekly bank transfer if you prefer
- Transparent earnings dashboard showing orders, ratings, and income

Tips for success:
- Consistency is everything. Your dal should taste the same every day.
- Respond to customer messages quickly — fast responders get more orders
- Accept feedback gracefully and adjust. Your best customers will tell you what they want.
- Start with a small menu (5-7 items) and expand as you build capacity
- Take good photos of your food — natural light, clean plate, simple background

Meal is more than a platform — it is economic empowerment for home cooks across Bangladesh. Many of our bhabis tell us this is their first independent income. Start your journey today.
