How Meal Delivery Works: From Kitchen to Your Door

You place an order. A bhabi cooks it fresh. It arrives at your door hot and ready to eat. But what happens in between? Here is the complete delivery journey.
Step 1: Order placement
You place your order through the Meal app or website. The bhabi receives a notification with your order details, delivery address, and preferred time slot.
Step 2: Preparation
The bhabi prepares your meal fresh. For lunch orders placed before 10 AM, cooking typically starts at 10:30-11 AM. The food is cooked within 60-90 minutes of the delivery window.
Step 3: Packaging
Meal has strict packaging standards:
- Food-grade containers (no recycled plastic or newspaper wrapping)
- Leak-proof lids secured with tape
- Hot items separated from cold items (rice in one container, curry in another)
- Liquid items double-sealed to prevent spills
- Insulated bags for temperature retention during transport
- Each container labeled with contents and allergen notes
Step 4: Pickup
Our delivery partner arrives at the bhabi's kitchen at the scheduled pickup time. The rider verifies:
- All items in the order are present
- Containers are properly sealed
- Food temperature is above 60 degrees Celsius (checked with infrared thermometer for random orders)
Step 5: Transit
Delivery time depends on distance:
- Within 3 km: 15-25 minutes
- 3-7 km: 25-40 minutes
- 7-10 km: 40-55 minutes
- We do not deliver beyond 10 km to maintain food quality
The rider uses insulated delivery bags and follows the most direct route. Real-time GPS tracking lets you see exactly where your food is.
Step 6: Delivery
The rider delivers to your specified location — home, office, or any address. You can add delivery instructions (ring the bell, leave at the guard desk, call before arriving).
What if something goes wrong?
- Late delivery (more than 15 minutes past window): Contact support through the app. You receive a 10% discount on your next order.
- Missing items: Report within 30 minutes of delivery. The missing item is refunded immediately.
- Spilled or damaged food: Take a photo and report. Full refund or re-delivery within 60 minutes.
- Wrong order: Extremely rare but it happens. Full refund plus a free meal credit.
- Food quality issue: Report within 2 hours. Full refund and the bhabi receives quality counseling.
Delivery fees:
- Orders above 300 BDT: Free delivery within 5 km
- Orders below 300 BDT: 30-50 BDT delivery charge depending on distance
- Subscription orders: Always free delivery regardless of amount

- Tiffin: 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
